The Brown Dog of the Green Glen
A A picture book about fear, courage, and learning to understand your feelings.
The Story.
When Finn's mother falls ill, his older brothers are too frightened to help. Finn, small but determined, sets off alone to find the healing spring hidden deep in the Green Glen. At the edge of the city, he meets an enormous Brown Dog: shaggy, wild, and frightening. His knees are shaking. But he keeps going.

A boy, a wild Scottish glen, and a friendship that changes everything.
Along the way, Finn discovers something many children need to hear again and again. Fear does not mean failure, and even the scariest things can create the strongest friendships. Inspired by a traditional Scottish folk tale collected in the 1800s, with charming watercolor illustrations and rhythmic read-aloud verses, this is a story families return to again and again.
